LONDON MAYOR CANDIDATE IN FAVOUR OF TRAMLINK EXTENSION Brian Paddick – the Liberal Democrat candidate for the race to become Mayor of London – has said that he is in favour of extending Tramlink to Sutton.
At his launch of his campaign to be mayor he pledged his backing for the Liberal Democrat “Tram It!” campaign. He said: “Running the tram to Sutton would show there is an alternative to Mr Livingstone's inner-city focused transport policy. The suburbs need better public transport too."
* More details of the “Tram It!” campaign can be found here. It is a campaign run by the Sutton branch of the Liberal Democrats who want the Croydon Tramlink system to be extended to the town.

| British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email. |
