Seaton End of Season Gala October 2007
Making its British Trams Online debut is the unique Seaton Tramway - which runs at a gauge of 2'9". All these photos were taken on Day One of the two day 2007 End of Season Gala on 27th October 2007 when most trams - including the works car - make appearances with an extensive service operated as well as behind the scenes tours of the depot. This enabled views of current overhaul tram number 7 as well as those trams not in use on the day and also out the back of the depot a possible Seaton 15 - an unrestored Bournemouth 101. Unfortunately due to the dull and dank weather 4 was not used in service on the day. As can be seen from this shot in Riverside Depot the tram is based on a Blackpool Boat car.
4 again. This tram was another one built to 2' gauge and was regauged at Seaton on 1976.
4 was originally built in 1961 and was actually the third tram in the Modern Electric Tramways history to be modelled on a Boat.
