Seaton End of Season Gala October 2007
Making its British Trams Online debut is the unique Seaton Tramway - which runs at a gauge of 2'9". All these photos were taken on Day One of the two day 2007 End of Season Gala on 27th October 2007 when most trams - including the works car - make appearances with an extensive service operated as well as behind the scenes tours of the depot. This enabled views of current overhaul tram number 7 as well as those trams not in use on the day and also out the back of the depot a possible Seaton 15 - an unrestored Bournemouth 101. Moving on to the first of the trio of "real" trams at Seaton. 14 was originally Metropolitan Tramways 94 which was a standard gauge open topper before being rescued in 1962 and rebuilt into a 2'9" single decker in 1984. It is seen here having its trolley turned at Seaton.
With Service Extra on its destination blind 14 is seen arriving at Colyton.
The light - which wasn't exactly brilliant throughout the day - is rapidly going by the time 14 is seen at Seaton for one last time. Note the curtains in the windows.
