Balloon Cars 7
The Balloons remain the mainstay of the tramway in the summer with all 2 timetabled routes scheduled to be in the hands of the trams (with a little help from the Jubilee Cars and sometimes the Twins). Of the serviceable members of the class they all made apperances out on the Prom - some more than others. In the last year there have been new all over ads for 709 (revised Sealife), 713 (Asda), 718 (Vodka Kick) and 723 (McDonalds). In addition 715 and 721 have lost their adverts but are in a plain white livery (with added grease and dirt!).

A new all over advert for Balloon 723 has seen the return of McDonalds to the tramway. This basic but pleasing design is seen on the tram at Tower on 7 September 2006.
A tram which I missed last year and thought I was going to again in 2006 finally made an appearance at the end of the week - Balloon 724. The tram is in the Red & Yellow Metro Coastlines livery and is at Manchester Square on 9 September 2006.
Balloon 72 is still in this advert for Thwaites Bitter. The tram was captured on 7 September 2006 with the photo taken from the ramp of the pedestrian bridge over the tramway and road at Tower.
