Balloon Cars 1
The Balloons remain the mainstay of the tramway in the summer with all 2 timetabled routes scheduled to be in the hands of the trams (with a little help from the Jubilee Cars and sometimes the Twins). Of the serviceable members of the class they all made apperances out on the Prom - some more than others. In the last year there have been new all over ads for 709 (revised Sealife), 713 (Asda), 718 (Vodka Kick) and 723 (McDonalds). In addition 715 and 721 have lost their adverts but are in a plain white livery (with added grease and dirt!).

Balloon 700 is seen in the Wartime Green & Cream livery at Ash Street, Fleetwood (Fisherman's Walk) on 5 September 2006. The tram is working a Fleetwood bound service with a large load heading for the Market.
Still sporting an all over advert for Palm Beach Hotel, Balloon 701 was captured at Bispham on the afteroon of 8 September 2006 - this was the day of the 674+684 derailment at Little Bispham and the tram was one ten trams that passed in a 15-20 minute spell.
Loading at Pleasure Beach whilst working on the Cleveleys service is Balloon 702 in the 1970s fleet livery. The date of the photo is 3 September 2006.
