Twin Cars 2
It has not been the most prolific year for the Twin Cars and this week was no different - set 5 did not make a single appearance whilst sets 1, 2 and 3 were rare in service. The one set - 674+684 - that did make regular appearances (including two go's on Fleetwood service) managed to disgrace itself on 8 September after derailing at Little Bispham whilst on specials.

Another Twin set heading for Fleetwood on 5 September 2006 is 673+683 seen here on North Albert Street. The tram is in the Turquoise & Yellow Metro Coastlines livery.
On 7 September 2006 set 3 is seen having terminated at North Pier, whilst operating specials.
Twin Car 674+684 was captured on 8 September 2006 at Bispham, returning after being derailed at Little Bispham. The tram doesn't look much the worse for wear but by this time the service was in tatters with all seven Fleetwood cars north of Bispham and the Twin has caused the loop to be shut meaning Illuminated trams now have to turn at Bispham and go backwards for part of the journey.
