Gallery 486: Douglas Horse Tramway - Saturday 13th September 2014 |
The weekend of 13th and 14th September was the last day of the 2014 season for the Douglas Horse Tramway and with no services expected to run again until 2016 at the earliest the weekend saw a number of different trams in action plus the chance to look around both the horse stables and tram depot. David Blake made a visit to the island on Saturday 13th September to say a goodbye to the tramway and this collection of photos shows images from the day including the trams in service, stabled outside the depot at Strathallan and also a sneaky peek inside the depot at some long withdrawn trams.
