Gallery 466: Totally Transport - Blackpool 22nd June 2014

On Sunday 22nd June, the tenth annual Totally Transport event took place on Blackpool's New South Promenade. For the first time since 2009, this year saw the operation of a vintage tram service right through the heart of the event site to Starr Gate, providing an extremely rare opportunity to ride on members of the heritage fleet south of Pleasure Beach. Temporary heritage tram stops were provided at Harrowside and on the main line at Pleasure Beach, and a total of five heritage trams were operated during the course of the day. This gallery features all of these trams, plus some extra views of the Flexity2 trams in service and also a late afternoon tour to Fleetwood worked by Pantograph car 167.

Photographs in this collection were taken by Steve Kemp, Tony Stevenson & Andrew Waddington
