Gallery 459: Docklands Light Railway - Goodbye & Hello Pudding Mill Lane |
It was all change for passengers who use the Pudding Mill Lane station on the Docklands Light Railway in April when the original station was closed and replaced by a new, much larger, version. The site of the original station was in the way of the Crossrail tunnel and so a new station was required and this has now been built and is said to be the biggest on the DLR network. The original station welcomed its last passengers on Thursday 17th April followed by a 10 day closure to connect the new lines up and then on Monday 28th April passengers were able to use the new station. This collection features photos on bith 17th and 28th April of both the stations as well as a few other shots around the network added for good measure.
Photographs in this collection were taken by David Bosher |
