Gallery 454: Blackpool Heritage Service - Good Friday 18th April 2014 |
The first day's operation of the Heritage Service in Blackpool for 2014 took place on Good Friday, 18th April. The main theme of the weekend was to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the English Electric streamlined trams and so the output was dominated by Balloon Cars and Boat Cars but they were joined by other slawarts of the Heritage fleet. Included in this selection are six different trams in service including two Boats, two very different looked Balloon Cars, a Standard and a long-term visitor from Bolton. We also have photos from the Blundell Street line-up which on this day saw four "flat-fronted" Balloons displayed during the middle of the day.
Photographs in this collection were taken by Robert Brown & Tony Waddington |
