Gallery 295: East Anglia Transport Museum London Event May 2012
2012 is a big year for fans of London Transport, with two major milestones in the city's transport history being remembered. As well as the 60th anniversary of London's Last Tram, this year also marks 50 years since the city's extensive trolleybus system closed for good. To commemorate both of these significant anniversaries, the East Anglia Transport Museum staged a spectacular London event on Sunday 6th & Bank Holiday Monday 7th May. The main emphasis was placed on the trolleybuses, with the Museum's own impressive fleet being joined by visiting vehicles from the collections of London's Transport Museum and the Sandtoft Transport Centre. However, London tramcar 1858 added to the capital theme of the event and appeared in service across the weekend. British Trams Online is delighted to bring you this photo gallery, and our grateful thanks go to Niall Dorsett for allowing us to share his pictures with a wider audience.
