Sunday 22nd January was an important day in the long history of Blackpool's Brush Railcoaches, as for the first time ever, a member of this class operated in public service on a system other than Blackpool. The tram in question was of course car 623, now preserved at the Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester, which was launched into service by Bryan Lindop of Blackpool Transport Services Limited shortly after 12:30pm, as part of an entertaining event. The car then operated for the remainder of the afternoon alongside the tramway's other operational cars, Stockport 5 and Manchester 765. This gallery features a selection of images from this historic day, along with some extra shots from 15th January, when 623 was being used for crew training ready for its big day.
