2011 was a fairly uneventful year for the ever-popular illuminated feature cars, and the Western Train was no exception. 733+734 appeared on the promenade a few times before switch-on night, most notably for a Fylde Tramway Society tour on 29th August, before settling down to regular use during the illuminations season when it was usually the first tour car each night. Here they are seen at the latest loading area for illuminations tours, on the new passing loop between Tower and North Pier. The trams ended 2011 with a healthy number of tours on the last weekend of the season.
