And so after 126 years of traditional tramway operation this was it, the last day before winter closure and then reopening at Easter 2012 as a upgraded Supertram line. This collection has images of the last day of service with shots of all the trams which were out on this day including many "last ever" photos as the tram returned to Depot. Trams out on this day during the daytime service cars were Brush Cars 631 and 632, Centenary Cars 642, 643, 644, 645, 646, 647 and 648 with Twin Car 672+682 on an enthusiasts tour. Twin Car 675+685 and Balloon 715 came out on the FTS' tour mid afternoon and the evening service was then provided by Balloon Cars 707, 709, 711, 713, 718, 719, 720 and 724 and Jubilee 761. 711 developed a fault mid evening and was replaced in service by Twin Car 672+682. This day saw several "last evers": Centenary 647 was the last Centenary Car to return to Depot, Brush 631 was the last Brush Car and Twin Car 672+682 was the final Twin Car (and last tram back to Depot which is being withdrawn). As a bonus at the end of the Gallery there are some photos from Monday 7th November at Rigby Road Depot.
