Gallery 218: Beamish's Power from the Past April 2010
The North of England Open Air Museum at Beamish in County Durham held their "Power from the Past" event between Thursday 15th and Sunday 18th April, with a theme of "Corportations and Contractors". On the tram front the event included the visit of Leeds 6 from the Heaton Park Tramway and Cardiff 131 from the Crich Tramway Village whilst Blackpool Marton Box 31 was repainted into Works Green livery as Works Car 4, the first day of the event also saw withdrawn Sheffield 264 displayed in the Town for a time. The event was so much more than just trams with steam rollers, steam lorries, buses, steam locomotives and much more also in attendance. This gallery of photos is mainly taken from the first day - Thursday 15th April - although also features a few images on Friday 16th April.
