Gallery 207: Farewell to Fleetwood November 2009

The weekend of 7th and 8th November 2009 saw the closure of the section of tramway between Ash Street and Fleetwood Ferry on the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramway for LRT upgrade work to commence. During the weekend a series of special tram tours were organised by the Lancastrian Transport Trust and the Fylde Tramway Society also organised a "Last Tram from Fleetwood Ferry" tour which was due to run five minutes behind the last service tram in the early hours of Monday 9th November. This gallery features 102 photos from the weekend - including a few from Friday 6th November - because of the number of photos they are split over two pages, links at top and bottom of the page for each index page. I apologise for the quality of some of these photos - especially those from the Saturday which were taken in the pouring rain, also please note that all nighttime photography is handheld - no tripods here!!!
