The Black Country Living Museum near Dudley in the West Midlands has a unique to the UK 3'6" gauge tramway. The short tramway - running from the Museum entrance to the School - is really just a side attraction to the rest of the exhibits which include shops, pubs, a school, a mine and much more. In addition to the tramway a trolleybus route runs for much the same distance, although this normally operates at weekends. Just two operational trams are currently in the fleet - Wolverhampton & District 34 (which maintains the majority of the service) and Wolverhampton 49 (a tram which despite a 20 year and £200,000 restoration only sees very limited use) - although there are also four tramcar bodies (including Dudley & Stourbridge 5 which maintained for service for many years) stored under tarpaulins outside the tram depot and there is also a Wolverhampton horse tram. Full details about the Museum can be found here. A small selection of photos taken of the trams at the Museum follow from British Trams Online Webmaster Gareth Prior.
