Fleetwood Market Tuesday 2nd September 2008
Tuesdays have historically been one of the best days on the tramway all the way to the northern terminus at Fleetwood with many people of a certain age going to the famous Market there. With the new free travel for senior citizens on buses across England now introduced the tramway has suffered with less specials in operation. However, the 14 tram and 15 minute frequency timetable is still in operation. On Tuesday 2nd September 2008 the trams which made it through to Fleetwood were photographed and include a pleasant surprise in Princess Alice arriving on one of the few specials. The trams are show in order of their arrival and so the links at the top of the page do not give you a clue as to what is on each page, so it is pot luck! There are a maximum of three photos on each page and you can navigate between the photos by using the links at either the top of the page (just above this box) or at the bottom of the page "Next Page of Photos" or "Previous Page of Photos"). As always please enjoy the photos and any comments (positive or negative) please contact me by email at the usual address.

Balloon 724 rounds the corner from Pharos Street heading for Pleasure Beach. To be honest I don't whether this was a special or a service tram!
Balloon 701 is definitely working route 13 (maybe) as it heads back to Starr Gate at Pharos Street.
Balloon 706 and sister Balloon 715 are seen together at the Fleetwood Ferry loading stop. 706 was on specials whilst 715 was on service.
