Totally Transport 2008
A selection of photos from the very blustery day of Totally Transport 2008. This event takes place on New South Promenade in Blackpool and as well as featuring a heritage tram service between North Pier and Starr Gate has many vintage buses and vehicles on display. Photos are mainly from Tony Waddington with one from the camera of Steve McCulley. As usual you can access the different pages of the gallery through links at both the top and bottom of the page.

Brush Railcoach 622 is the last of its type in service with swingover seats. It is seen at North Pier bound for Cleveleys, but unusually it is running along the centre track, which all service cars did on this afternoon

Jubilee car 762 has recently been named Stuart L Pillar in honour of the man who is created with the Jubilee car design. The tram has not seen much use since being named, but is seen here peeking out of the depot.

For the first time in over a decade, Blackpool has two Balloon trams painted in 1980s livery - and here they are! 703 (sporting 'L' plates from a recent driver training exercise) sits alongside 723 in the tram depot.
