Croydon Tramlink November 2007
Regular British Trams Online contributor David Bosher has been out and about agan, this time visiting the Croydon Tramlink system, and in particular the Wimbledon branch. All photos were taken on 24th November 2007 and feature locations such as Ampere Way, Beddington Lane, Belgrave Walk, Centrale, Dundonald Road, Mitcham, Mitcham Junction, Morden Road, Reeves Corner, Therapia Lane, Waddon Marsh, Wandle Park and Wimbledon. 2547 leaving Beddington Lane en route to New Addington on route 3. This section runs along the course of the Surrey Iron Railway of 1803, along the track of which the original heavy rail Wimbledon to West Croydon line opened in 1855, closing in 1997 for conversion before reopening as part of Croydon Tramlink in 2000.
