2536 arriving at Wandle Park en route to Wimbledon on route 3. East of here, where there was never a station in heavy rail days, trains originally curved to run alongside the main line into West Croydon but, as at Mitcham Junction, the connections have been severed and a new and similar roller-coaster type bridge takes the trams over the West Croydon to Sutton line and down onto the street section through Croydon town centre.
