L&CBER Replica 7 Hauled Centenary Run October 2007
The culmination of years of planning by the Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Tramway Society was the hauled run of their replica tram 7 over the former tramway linking the two towns along with Rhos-on-Sea on Saturday 20th October 2007 - this being 100 years (and a day!) since the tramway originally opened. The day was a huge success and the run took a lot longer than expected with the crowds wanting more - this even included BBC Wales (who ran a photo feature here - captions are in Welsh). What now follows over the next two pages are six images from the day from the L&CBTS Webmaster John Bird. Further images are available on their website here. Replica .7 on display opposite St Paul's Church in Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay. The interest was so high in the tram it stayed here much longer than was planned!
