TRAM WORK TO TAKE PLACE OVER CHRISTMAS
Trams for Edinburgh – Sunday 21st December 2008

tie have confirmed that there are to be shifts worked on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day in order to keep the Trams for Edinburgh project on schedule. The shifts will be worked between 0800 and 2000 on both days and work will be concentrated next to the Carrick Knowe Golf Course and will see sheet pilling work being undertaken.

The sheet pilling work can only be undertaken when the nearby railway line is not operating and so if the work is not completed on these two days, workers will have to report for duty on New Years Day.

The move to do this work was met with pleasure by Michael Dixon, from the Federation of Small Businesses for Edinburgh: “Businesses in Edinburgh will welcome anything that makes sure the tram project is delivered as quickly as possible and with the minimum disruption."

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
