FLEETWOOD TRAM SUNDAY MAY BE SAVED
Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway – Sunday 14th December 2008

Fleetwood Tram Sunday – also known as Fleetwood Transport Festival – may still be saved despite the fact it had been announced it would not take place in 2009. A meeting is to take place after fresh volunteers came forward.

Cllr Russell Forsyth, leader of the Council, said: “Tram Sunday is of great importance to Fleetwood in general and to the local economy in particular and as the local authority we are determined to help it continue. We have assigned one of our officers to look at how we can promote the event through our tourism literature and we will look at other ways in which we can give our support."

A meeting is being held at the North Euston Hotel in Fleetwood on Tuesday 16th December.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
