CARDIFF 131 RESTORATION UPDATE
Crich Tramway Village – Sunday 16th December 2007

The truck of Cardiff 131 has now been completely stripped for assessment to that amount of work required. Follow the link below to see an image of part of the underframe which shows why such a major strip down is needed before work on the restoration commences in full.

Meanwhile, there is no major progress to report on London United Tramways 159 with work continuing steadily on truck parts awaiting another side frame casting for inspection before the order is given for a full set.


Just one part of the underframe of 131 - and this is by no means the worst section - showing just why such a thorough strip down has been necessary.
