(BIG) TRAMS WEEKEND PROBLEMS
Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway – Sunday 22nd August 2010

The proposed “big” trams weekend due to be held in Blackpool over the weekend of 7th and 8th August ended up being cancelled with Standard 143 not being ready in time and Blackpool Transport unable to guarantee any “special” trams would be commissioned in time for the weekend. However, the Lancastrian Transport Trust offered a free tour utilising Coronation 304 on the Saturday. Unfortunately 304 failed during this and was replaced by Standard 147 which managed a journey to Ash Street, Fleetwood!

Unimog 939 tows the failed Coronation 304 back to Depot on 7th August.

After the failure of 304, Standard 147 was used on the Private Hire instead and this managed to get through to Ash Street, Fleetwood where it is seen here.

British Trams Online is an enthusiast run website for enthusiasts. It should be able to be viewed at all screen resolutions but I do advise you that it is probably best at 1024x768. The site is owned, maintained (and in the main written) by Gareth Prior. Any comments or suggestions please email.
