BLACKPOOL OPERATING POOLS REVISED
Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramway – Sunday 3rd August 2008

As a result of poor loadings on the tramway so far in 2008 (mainly due to the elderly now getting free bus travel nationwide but not on trams – another cracking transport “policy” from this government!) Blackpool Transport have revised the current operating pools. The main headline here is that all the Twin Cars have been moved into the Reserve Fleet. Whether these pools will be adhered any better than any of the previous ones remains to be seen.

Operational Fleet:
Bolton 66
Standard 147
Boat Cars 600, 602 & 605
Brush Cars 622, 630 & 631
Centenary Cars 641, 643-646 & 648
Railcoach 680
Balloon Cars 700, 701, 703, 706, 707, 709-713, 715, 717-719, 721, 723 & 726
Illuminated Trawler 737
Jubilee Cars 761 & 762

Reserve Fleet:
Box 40
Brush Car 623
Centenary Cars 642 & 647
Coronation 660
Twin Cars 671+681-675+685
Balloon Cars 702 & 724

It is likely that these pools will remain in use until October when the “peak” operating pool is introduced.
